Summary of Opportunity:
Irwin Naturals is a marketing leading CPG company selling products to both the mass market and health food channels. Our product line crosses over multiple categories and are currently found in all major Health Food Stores and FDM.  
We are seeking an experienced National Sales Manager to manage and sell our line of products and successfully execute business building activities throughout the HFS businesses. This candidate must have a minimum of 5 years sales experience selling consumer goods to HFS accounts and 3 years managing direct sales teams.  The selected candidate will be expected to lead a team of Regional Managers and Territory Sales Managers while achieving annual sales & profit objectives. This person will be responsible for collaborating with the Strategic Account Team to ensure we achieve each accounts objectives and annual plans with our Key Accounts. Must have a positive and articulate rapport through written and verbal communication to effectively build customer relationships.
Primary Responsibilities:
  • Identify key sales and growth opportunities with existing and potential customers
  • Manage the Sales Teams, operations and resources to increase market penetration and deliver profitable growth
  • Responsible for product sales and execution of promotional initiatives.
  • Meet or exceed targeted and specific sales goals and profit objectives.
  • Communicate product benefits clearly and knowledgably.
  • Identifies, creates and manages incremental growth opportunities (i.e. displays, new items, dual location, Etc.).
  • Creates accurate account and product sales projections.
  • Ensures timely and accurate communication with retail buyers.
  • Manage the execution of the account specific deal and promotional activities.
  • Maintain organized information to aid in effective communication.
  • Represent the company at tradeshows.
  • Develops and edits presentations tailored to meet customer objectives.
  • Research, respond to and resolve customer service related matters.
  • Gather, understand, and communicate competitive intelligence to internal stakeholders and decision makers.
  • Develop sales strategies and tactics that will deliver results 
  • Any other projects and tasks as assigned.
Necessary Experience:
  • College degree in a related discipline.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in consumer products sold to the Health Food Stores market.
  • Proven track record as a top performer to aggressively increase compensation to its fullest potential and leading sales teams to success.
  • Persuasive and aggressive selling skills, with the ability to close the sale.
  • Proven ability and communication experience in asking difficult questions, requests and follow-up skills.
  • Proven ability to multi-task and work with multiple priorities without direction.
  • Proficiency required in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Outlook, Goldmine, MAS 200, Internet
