SUMMARY OF OPPORTUNITY:

We are looking for a Brand Manager who is passionate about uncovering consumer insights, developing innovative products and delivering best-of-class marketing campaigns within the beauty and skincare space. You will join a dynamic, entrepreneurial and fast-paced environment and you will work with the Marketing team to develop strategies that grow market share and brand reputation, improve customer experience and drive growth. Responsibilities include brand planning, product development, advertising, trade marketing, promotions, packaging, reporting and budgeting. Work to develop beauty and skincare brand marketing materials, support sales and work closely with creative, R&D, sales, technical affairs, legal and operations to execute plans and new product rollouts. 

Manage each step of the project workflow for our new beauty and skincare brand, from job start activation; execution and approval to delivery and implementation, by ensuring business needs are being met.

RESPONSIBILITIES
 
·         Manage the execution of advertising, promotional programs, and consumer research projects to support strategies and objectives.  Use consumer insights and category trends to deliver brand innovations.
·         Responsible for developing, planning, and launching new products and marketing programs on time and within budget.
·         Work with the Marketing and Creative Department in developing collateral, packaging, in-store merchandising while ensuring accuracy of all product labels, ingredient lists and regulatory requirements. Ensure all brand communication (print, online, in store, etc) is consistent, aligned with brand strategy, corporate goals and objectives.
·         Collaborate with R&D in new product development and innovation.
·         Manage analysis and communication of information to company; Responsible for P&L development within given brand to present to management to create product pricing.
·         Develop customer specific trade promotional strategies keeping within given budgets; lead development of customer presentations.
·         Manage given advertising budgets to support recommended activities.
·         Analyze brand and company performance utilizing internal and external data sources.
·         Take brand ownership and provide the vision, mission, goals and strategies to match up to.
·         Translate brand strategies into brand plans, brand positioning and go-to-market strategies.
·         Monitor market trends, research consumer markets and competitors’ activities to identify opportunities and key issues.
·         Oversee marketing and advertising activities to ensure consistency with product line strategy.
·         Monitor product distribution and consumer reactions.
·         Anticipate bottlenecks.
·         Brainstorm new and innovative growth strategies.
·         Align the company around the brand’s direction, choices and tactics.
·         Ensure the communication between marketing brand/field sales teams is concise and clear at all times.
 
REQUIREMENTS
·         Proven working experience as brand manager or associate brand manager.
·         Proven experience selling in to Mass Market, Beauty Supply Retailers such as Sephora, and into Department stores
·         Drive for results and leaderships skills.
·         Highly creative with ability to think out of box.

EXPERIENCE:
·         3-5 years of experience in beauty and skincare marketing; proven experience in new product development and P&L management.
·         Proven excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate verbally, and in writing across a matrix organization.
·         Strong analytical skills and excellent organizational skills.
·         Ability to work in entrepreneurial environment with limited traditional data sources and resources.
·         Ability to prioritize and execute for results in a fast paced environment on time and within budget.
·         Proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, IRI/Nielsen, SPINS
 
EDUCATION:
·         Bachelor’s Degree required; Marketing or Business related degree preferred.
